10 March - Invited and attended United Nations Secretary-General hosted event, Saving Lives, Protecting Futures, an Every Woman Every Child high-level event, in the ECOSOC Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and the launch of Progress Report on the Global Strategy for Women's and Children's Health.

February - Committee on NGOs at its 2013 regular session, which closed on 8 February 2013, recommended with note the quadrennial reports of 277 non-governmental organizations. Women's Health and Education Organization which is non-profit entity of Women's Health and Education Center (WHEC) was one of them (listed on page 14, United Nations Economic and Social Council E/C.2/2013/L.1/ REV. 1);

7 July; NGO Section / DESA, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations at its 2008 Resumed Session, from 29 May-6 June, decided to recommend Special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council to the organization, Women's Health and Education Center (WHEC).
